I am writing to congratulate you on your recent AAPS Distinguished Pharmaceutical Scientist Award. Your honor is well-deserved and recognizes the many contributions to the field of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics you have made over the years. Congratulations.

Somewhere I have pictures from my visit to your lab at the University of Tokyo in August 1999, but I did not find them quickly. However, I would like to present you with the attached pictures, which are some of my better ones from Japan. I always enjoyed seeing the chrysanthemums (symbol of royal family) at competitions in the fall in Japan.
